Well, the elections are done. The votes have been casted and counted and new terms will be started with some old faces and some new ones as well. As Christians politics has always been a touchy subject for many, this will be the focus of our next Faith~In~Action show; Politics, Religion, God and You.
In today’s world Christians are lead to believe that our faith has no place mixed in with the Government. Christians face endless obstacles from secular media sources to atheist groups that like to try and placate this belief. As is most often the case, the truth of God’s Word is very different from lies of the world. The bible is clear in Romans 13 that us, the Christian, should have a very decisive role in our government.
As believers, we are called to be good stewards of what God has entrusted us with. One way that we can be good stewards is to be actively involved with our government in all forms from local to the nation. One way of doing this is voting. It is our duty, both yours and mine to use our faith when involved with being good stewards of our government.
Regardless of which party you side with we must remember and hold this truth dear to our hearts, no individual or group of individuals can save this country. It’s not a party, but Christ that will save this country, if it’s God’s will for that to be done. This will only happen by us, the Christian’s voting our values of Christianity, using our voices grounded in the Word of God, which will change this country for Christ. We cannot put our faith ultimately in Red or Blue. We must use our faith in the Father, Son, Holy Ghost and the Word to make a change for this country. We as Christians here in America have been given a very special form of Government. It is up to us to use it wisely and to honor our Father.
