Grace church
Grace church is located in the southeastern suburb of Overland Park Kansas and is lead by Senior Pastor, Tim Howey. You will find Grace church to be a very warm and inviting place to fellowship, worship and rolling your knowledge and love of Christ. According to their website found at http://www.visitgracechurch.com/index.php, you will find that their mission and values are grounded in the Bible. Their mission is to Love according to Matthew 22:34 – 40, to Learn in adherence to James 1:21 – 25, and to Lead following Luke 14:16 – 24.[1] Their beliefs are scripturally based and each belief is backed with the correct hermeneutical scripture support and holds to Christian Orthodoxy.
As far as one's ability to fit in with the congregation you will find that Grace is a mid size church with plenty of opportunity for growth for you and your family. They offer three services on Sunday and an array of bible study opinions for the whole family. They have an extensive children’s ministry as well. Their services consist of a modern worship and topical preaching. While this style of preaching is entertaining and useful it is our view at Empowered by Christ that verse by verse or exegetical preaching should be the preferred method of preaching the word of God. This is one area that we wish Grace would improve upon. You will find that Sunday is not the only time Grace Church offers opportunities for fellowship and worship they have Wednesday night classes and various activities as well.
When it comes to supporting Grace Church you can feel comfortable and secure knowing that your tithe is going to a financially sound and reputable Church. Grace Church believes in full financial transparency and is part of the EFCA. This transparency of finances can also be seen in the accountability that the leadership is held by its elders.
It is our view here at Empowered by Christ that Grace Church is a solid Bible following church that you me grow in Christ with and find fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ.
