Journey Church International is a relatively new church in the Lee Summit Missouri area. They just opened their doors this year on September 18, 2011 but they already are having a positive impact on their community. Empowered by Christ is looking forward to revisiting this church again in the near future to see what exciting new events and growth this church has accomplished.
Journey is led by Pastor Christian Newsome who is a well rounded biblically grounded and a compassionate preacher. Pastor Newsome has a heart for the lost and those who are in need of Christ. The mission of Journey church international is a relatively simple but powerful mission. They exist to see people far from God become passionate corrections to make a difference in the world. Journey church has well grounded biblical beliefs confirming all the Orthodoxies of Christianity. They confirm that we need to be born again in order to have a relationship with Christ. That without that relationship with Christ we will perish in hell for eternity. They believe that the essentials we must have unity while in the non-essentials we can have liberty but in all our beliefs we must show charity.
