You will find Lenexa Baptist located in the newer part of the city of Lenexa Kansas in a very nice sized will equipped and modest building for the area. The church is associated with the SBC, Southern Baptist Convention, and is leaded by Senior Pastor Steve Dighton. Pastor Steve Dighton has been leading the church since 1990. During his tender as Pastor he has seen LBC grow from a small struggling church into one of Kansas best mega churches. The reason for the growth of LBC comes from their strong stand on the word of God and biblical truth. The blessings that the church has received have truly been from the hands of God at work by using the prayerful and very humble leadership skills of Pastor Dighton and the rest of his skillful team of pastors, laymen and members of the church. From the moment you start your first visit by walking through the doors of Lenexa Baptist you will feel welcomed. Starting with a hand shake at the door as the greeters welcome you all the way to the ushers handing you the sermon bulletin and helping you to find a seat. This welcome friendly feeling continues into the start of the service with fellowship with fellow attenders and into the worship session of the service with everyone shaking hands with the people around them and lots of hugging of necks as well as everyone welcomes their brothers and sisters in Christ. You will find yourself among general warmth of truth Christian fellowship even as Pastor Dighton is preaching the word of God during the sermon. Pastor Dighton delivers a hard hitting and impacting sermon while still being loving and humble in his approach to say the truth and call a sin a sin. Pastor Dighton usually preaches straight from the bible in a verse by verse exegetical manner, when subjects call for topical preaching that method is applied but being careful to stay true to the word of God.
