Safety and abuse are where the real battle is and the problem of those claiming to “self-id” as transgender comes into full light.
Huff Post’s Noah Michelson Gets the Battle Over Transgenders & Bathrooms Wrong.
On May 18th, 2016 Noah Michelson Editorial Director at the Huff Post Voices wrote an article entitled “Scared of Trans People In Bathrooms? Here’s One HUGE Thing You’re Forgetting.” (You can read the full article here.) The basic gist of this article was to suggest that those opposing the push to normalize Transgenderism are basically “scared” of transgender people. That all Transgenders want to do is have a place to go to the bathroom in peace. Also, Christians and those against Transgenderism should stop protesting because there is no danger to them.
Well, there is one HUGE thing that Mr. Michelson forgets about the argument over Transgender people and the use of bathrooms. As normal, one could come to expect that the Huff Post or as I call it the Huff and Puff Post would miss the mark on the heart of the issue at hand. It would seem to report the actual issues would negate their abilities to push their progressive agenda. They usually do a pretty good job at that, being pushing their liberal agenda.
What Mr. Michelson fails to realize, in a HUGE way, is that the reason that Christians and even non-Christian, basically anyone with an ounce of common sense, is protesting the normalization of Transgenderism being shoved down everyone’s throats comes down to the “self-identity” aspect. The safety and or lack of said safety that comes with the wholesale promotion of “self-identification,” I think that most people who read this would agree with me when I say that those who are Transgender have been quietly using the bathrooms in public for years, and there have not been issues. Even when it’s been wantingly known or not. No one is saying that Transgender people should not have a right to go to the bathroom. That right has never been denied to them in the first place. Just go to the bathroom that corresponds to your birthed gender or use a private restroom. Let me point that this has going on in this manner for years.
What is being rejected by people is the “self-identification” clause which has become the battle mantra behind the normalization of Transgenderism. Again Mr. Michelson fails to mention this in his article nor do I think he even realizes it since I get the feeling that he is to close to the forest to see the trees.
In general, the majority of people including Christians are not scared of Transgender people; we are not Transphobic as some have been called who oppose the normalization of Transgenderism. Matter of fact, it is the Christians that are the most understanding of the sin of Transgenderism and the need for repentance. Since it is Christians that have been bought by the blood of Christ and recognize the penalty of our sins and the forgiveness that can come in a regenerate heart.
What believers and nonbelievers alike are not willing to accept is those who “self-id” as Transgender to gain access to the opposite genders bathrooms, fitting rooms, and lockers to promote their perversion under the guise of a Transgender identity. What this new push of the normalization of “self-identifying” transgenderism is promoting is the wholesale adoption of open public displays of perversion; and that is what single men, Fathers, Husbands, Mothers, and Wives are not will to accept or are willing to be normalized.
Safety and abuse are where the real battle is and the problem of those claiming to “self-id” as transgender comes into full light. The issue comes down to abuse and safety of loved ones in our public restrooms, fitting rooms, and lockers rooms. This battle has been amplified in the last couple of days with the Obama administration trying to push the acceptance of ‘self-identifying” Transgender classification on to our children in public schools. It’s not about those who are truly are Transgender using the bathroom because again they always have. The battle or the heart of the matter is about those claiming to be Transgender, who are not, but are exploiting this literal open-door policy to fill their perverted desires.Again, this is truly the point that Mr. Michelson is missing in his article.
Mr. Michelson people are not “scared” of Transgenders as you claim. Instead, people including myself are not willing to accept the outright wholesale of perversion by those claiming in the name of “self-identification” to be Transgender. We are not prepared to allow men identifying as women to try to gain access to our wives or daughters, or boys “self-iding” as girls in school bathrooms or locker rooms in the name of some perverted claim of freedom. Mr. Michelson people are not “scared” as you claim. Instead, people are being what in the past has called protective and using common sense. Something that seems to very much lacking today.
