Calling the Remnant Church
Several things hit me the other day after all this talk about the GB rally and all His talk about being called back to God. I like many others like Glenn Beck’s view on political matters, his calling us back to the vision of our forefathers wanted this country to be like. However, when he went down the religion trail I had to jump ship and part ways with him. It’s not the question of him bring God in to the topic at all, it is more of the topic of which god is he talking about?
I don’t know any other way than just to come out and say it Glenn my friend when you are talking about god you are not talking about the God of the bible, but the god of Mormonism. Yes you mention God and say that everyone should get behind you and follow you, I ask why we should follow you. Does not the bible teach that in the last days their will be many false prophets that say to follow them and that even the very elect may be deceived. His deception is so finely woven that I have heard pastor of 30+ years being fooled in believing that he a saved Christian. Don’t be fooled Glenn is a sheep in wolves clothing, Matthew 7:15
I am calling the remnant church the true believers to stand tall and speak out against what Glenn is teaching. Remember being truthful and biblical is not always popular and will cost you here on earth. I will say that I would rather lose everything here on earth and be right in heaven than hear on my day of judgment depart from me you doer of evil for I do not know you.
So what exactly is Glenn teaching? For starters I would like to point out that he is a Mormon and that by his own self admission 80 % of his life revolves around the temple. With that said you can only begin to imagine what kinds of Mormon influences are coming into his public campaign to restore honor. On his September 3 show he was talking about jumping into the bush of fire being your own fire. That may sound all great at first glance, he is referring to the bible and where Moses and the burning bush. When you look deeper at what he is saying “be your own fire” he is actually referring you to be your own god. Remember who was in the burning in the bush, it was God. One of basic teachings of Mormonism is that someday you will be your own god.
Another point to mention is that Mormons believe that doctrine is not important but it is how you live your life that really counts. Yes as true believers we want to live God pleasing lives, but we use doctrine and scripture to back that up not self man centered promotion. When Glenn had his rally on August 27th 2010 he had five different “men of the cloth” speak at that rally that evening. Among the five different religions represented there was a Muslim cleric speaking. I am sorry but we as believers in Christ can not hold spiritual hands with Muslims that deny Christ as the one true Savior. What Glenn is promoting here is innerfaithism or one world religion, which is another teaching of Mormonism.
As the remnant church we must not be deceived by false teachers, (sheep in wolves clothing) and stay truth to the doctrines and scriptures of the Word of God testing everything against the word of God just as the Bereans did in the Apostle Paul’s day. I am not saying to stop listening to Glenn because we can agree on the political issues on hand, but have our eyes open to his inter woven Mormon message of a false god and beware the teachings of innerfaithism.
